Safer cabsOne of the new safety measures is being developed by the Thai Airforce engineers. Anti covid barriers in taxis. The shields are based on aircraft bulkhead barriers. A blueprint is handed over to taxi operators so they can get more made of those barriers.

German man stabbedA 60 year old German man has been stabbed to death in Prachin Buri. The man was teacher and was stabbed just below the heart. Found face up in underwear with a fruit knife with blood nearby. He and his Thai partner had separated but were still seeing each other. The mom of the man had sent 40.000 baht from Germany and the lady should go with him to pick it up when he was found by her.

Face masks at airportMost ASEAN countries can’t wait for the day to open for Asian tourism again. All they need now is mass tourism and no other country than China can provide that. So the Thai health minister proposed to remove China and Korea from the dangerous disease zones. Though, strict screening will be in place.

More Thai news is about the plan of imposing a tourism levy not exceeding 300 baht. All tourists should pay 300 baht either on arrival or included in air tickets. This as a pandemic insurance.

Police catches 22 foreigners partying24 people were caught partying at Samui. 22 foreigners in a place owned by a Frenchman and with three Burmese waiters. Only one of them had a work permit.

Chatuchak market reopensChatuchak weekend market reopened after 48 days of closure. The night section remains closed for now. Six fever checkpoints are set up and wearing masks is mandatory. Washing stations and not touching of body and food are other measures.

Pattaya beaches closedAll Pattaya beaches will be cordoned off and closed till the end of May. This counts for Pattaya beach, Jomtien beach and some more beaches. A measure taken for safety and health reasons.
